The Undergraduate Program of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Peloponnese lasts ten (10) academic semesters and has been approved with joint ministerial decision of the Deputy Minister of Education & Religions and Finance.
All the subjects of the undergraduate studies are regulated by the Regulation of Undergraduate Studies (in Greek), which was approved in the 155th Session (26.07.2019) of the Senate of the University of Peloponnese.
The Undergraduate Program of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is a modern study program, which is fully harmonized with the respective programs of Greek and international university departments and international standards. Utilizes, upgrades and expands the existing curricula of the two pre-existing Departments, as they are valid, competitive and to a large extent complementary. Through the Curricula the study program specializes the subject of the profession of Electrical and Computer Engineering, so that it meets both the modern needs of the labor market and the Greek society, as well as the modern developments of the sciences of Energy, Communications, Computers and Informatics.
In particular, the Curriculum meets international study standards and the needs of students interested in Courses:
- Energy Systems
- Signals, Telecommunications and Networks
- Electronics, Computers and Systems
- Informatics
The preparation of the program took into account the instructions of Hellenic Authority for Higher Education and was based on the standard undergraduate programs proposed by the international organizations Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), as well as corresponding Greek and international undergraduate programs. In particular, the curriculum includes all the necessary courses to ensure:
- The foundation in the basic sciences,
- The development of the core courses of the specialty in the whole range of the subject of Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering,
- The deepening and consolidation of a high level of knowledge in the scope of the subject of Electrical and Computer Engineering,
- Acquiring knowledge of problem solving methodology and the methodology of analysis, synthesis and design of energy, electrical, electronic, telecommunication and information systems of large scale,
- The development of research skills in the same subjects, through the elaboration of a diploma thesis.
- The ability of graduates to participate in postgraduate studies,
- The ability of graduates to successfully practice the profession of Electrical & Computer Engineer.
