Erasmus+ for Incoming Students
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of the Peloponnese welcomes incoming Erasmus+ students who wish to spend part of their studies in Patras, Greece.
Through Erasmus+, students from partner universities can attend courses at our Department, experience a different academic environment, collaborate with students and academic staff, and become familiar with student life at the University of the Peloponnese.
Studying at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
Incoming Erasmus+ students may select courses from the list of courses offered by the Department for Erasmus+ mobility. The available courses are presented by semester and include courses from the undergraduate curriculum of the Department.

Before preparing the Learning Agreement, students should carefully check the course list, the semester in which each course is offered, the number of ECTS credits, the course content, and the language or mode of instruction/examination. In several cases, courses may be offered to Erasmus+ students in English through lectures, tutoring, assignments, projects, study material, or examination arrangements, after communication with the course instructor.
Incoming students are strongly advised not to finalise their Learning Agreement before confirming with the ERASMUS Coordinator of the ECE Department that the selected courses are available during the semester of their mobility and that the proposed study programme is academically suitable.
Learning Agreement
The Learning Agreement is the main academic document for Erasmus+ studies. It defines the courses that the incoming student will attend at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and must be approved before the beginning of the mobility by:
- the student,
- the sending institution,
- the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering / University of the Peloponnese.
Students should prepare a realistic study plan, usually close to a full semester workload, and select courses that are relevant to their home study programme. For each selected course, students are encouraged to check the course title, ECTS credits, semester, syllabus, prerequisites, and assessment method.
If a selected course is not available after arrival, or if changes are necessary, the student must contact both the sending institution and the Academic Erasmus+ Coordinator of the Department. Changes must be formally recorded in the “During the Mobility” section of the Learning Agreement and approved by all parties.
Before Arrival
Before arriving in Patras, incoming Erasmus+ students should:
- make sure they have been officially nominated by their home university,
- follow the application procedure of the University of the Peloponnese as described,
- submit the required documents within the announced deadlines,
- prepare and finalise the Learning Agreement,
- contact the Academic Erasmus+ Coordinator of the Department regarding course availability,
- arrange accommodation and travel,
- check health insurance requirements and other practical matters.

During the Mobility
During their mobility, incoming students are expected to attend the courses agreed in their Learning Agreement and to follow the academic rules and procedures of the Department and the University of the Peloponnese.
Students should contact the course instructors at the beginning of the semester in order to confirm the teaching material, assignments, laboratory requirements, project work, examination method, and any other academic obligations.
If there are difficulties with course registration, course availability, timetable conflicts, or examination arrangements, students should contact the Academic Erasmus+ Coordinator of the Department as early as possible.
After the Mobility
At the end of the mobility period, the student’s academic results are recorded in the Transcript of Records, according to the courses successfully completed at the University of the Peloponnese.
The Transcript of Records is used by the sending institution for the recognition of the courses, in accordance with the approved Learning Agreement and the academic rules of the home university.
ECE Erasmus Buddies
The Department supports the integration of incoming Erasmus+ students through the ECE Erasmus Buddy initiative.
ECE Erasmus Buddies are students of the Department who volunteer to help incoming Erasmus+ students with their first steps at the University and in Patras. They can provide practical student-to-student information about everyday life in Patras, studies at the Department, the University, student services, accommodation, transportation, and other useful matters related to the Erasmus+ experience.
