The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department applies the postdoctoral research framework of the University of Peloponnese, as defined by the decision 18/14.11/2017 of the Senate.
It is announced that the Government Gazette B’ 3302/11.06.2026 includes the publication of Decision No. 289/18 of the Senate of the University of the Peloponnese, entitled:
“Update of the Framework for Postdoctoral Research at the University of the Peloponnese.”
The updated framework defines the terms, requirements, approval procedure, duration, obligations, and completion process for postdoctoral research conducted in the Departments of the University of the Peloponnese.
Postdoctoral research is defined as research conducted in an academic department of the University of the Peloponnese by a researcher who holds a PhD and is accepted by the Department in the context of updating studies in relation to advanced research. The main objectives of the postdoctoral research are:
- the extension of the results of the researcher’s doctoral dissertation in new scientific directions that the Department is interested in,
- the development of new research areas in the Department, related to the scientific area of the researcher’s dissertation,
- the contribution of the approach of specific research problems that concern the Department,
- the support of scientists capable of contributing to the progress of science, research and applications,
- the promotion of the academic prestige and the international distinction of the University’s research work. It is possible to accept a postdoctoral researcher, if he/she meets the necessary conditions, has a proven, high-level scientific profile and submits an interesting research proposal.
