
Dimitris Karelis
Dimitris Karelis holds a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Technology of the University of Patras and a Master of Engineering, Electrical from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada.
His scientific interests are in the areas of Computer Networks, Processor Architecture and Microcomputer Systems and Process Programming.
He practiced electrical engineering and worked as an Engineer in the Canadian company MITEL, Head of the Design Office and Section Chief of the Industrial Design Department of the State Aviation Factory (203 KEA), Research Associate/Researcher in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Technology of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Patras and as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the TEI of Patras.
He was elected Professor of Applications and became Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, TEI of Patras. He was Technical Manager of the Computer Centre of the School of Technological Applications, head of the computer laboratories of the department, Erasmus coordinator, academic representative of European programmes, head of the department and deputy head of the Department of Informatics and Media.
