George Asimakopoulos

Lecturer

Dr. George Asimakopoulos is a Lecturer at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of the Peloponnese, specializing in the Management of Techno-Economic Information Systems.

He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Crete, an M.Sc. in Techno-Economic Systems from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), and a Ph.D. from the University of Patras in the field of Digital Governance and the Digital State.

His research focuses on Digital Governance, E-Democracy, ICT Law and Ethics, and Digital Forensics. He has published research papers in international peer-reviewed journals and conferences and has co-authored several academic book chapters.

Before joining academia, he worked as a Software Development Director and Project Manager in major ICT projects (OTE, COSMOTE, Hellenic Ministry of Defence / Athens 2004 Olympic Games), gaining substantial experience in project management, systems architecture, and the evaluation of technological investments.
