
Nikolaos Petrellis
Nikos Petrellis is an associate professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of University of Peloponnese. He graduated from Computer Engineering and Informatics department of University of Patras in 1994 and received his PhD from Electrical Engineering and Computer Technology department of the same university (1999) in Hardware/Software Codesign and Cosimulation of Embedded Systems. He was an associate professor in the Computer Science and Engineering department of University of Thessaly and TEI of Thessaly, Larisa, Greece until January 2019. He started teaching in this department as an assistant professor in September 2010 and he served as the head of this department from September 2018 until September 2019. He was the head of the Computer Engineering Sector of this department from 2016 to 2018.
He has worked with Analogies SA (2007-2010), Atmel Hellas SA, GiGA Hellas A/S (Intel Corp) and Knowledge SA from 1994 to 2003 while he also served as a teacher in high schools from 2003 to 2010. He taught embedded systems in TEI of Mesolonghi from 2006 to 2010 and microcomputer courses in the Computer and Informatics Engineering department, University of Patras from 2003 to 2010 as adjunct faculty. He has published more than 100 papers in peer reviewed international journals, conferences and book chapters while he is the sole or the main author in 9 Greek and international patents. - Mobile applications based on image processing and machine learning (Image Segmentation, Classification)
- Mixed signal design (A/D converters).
