Panagiotis Raptis

Special Technical Laboratory Staff (ETEP)

Panagiotis Raptis is a Graduate in Electrical Engineering from the Department of Electrical Engineering of the Technical University of Patras, as well as a holder of a Master’s Degree (MSc) in Technical Project Management from the National Technical University of Athens, with the title of his master thesis: “Quality and safety control of electrical installations – Harmonization requirements with IEC and CENELEC.”

He also holds a Degree in Pedagogical Studies from PATES/SELETE and a Postgraduate Certificate of Further Education in “Open and Distance Education” from the E.A.P., while he is currently completing his studies in the Postgraduate Specialization Programme (MEd) “Adult Education” at the E.A.P.

He is a member of the Specialist Technical Laboratory Staff of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of the Faculty of Engineering (Patras) of the University of Peloponnese. He has been appointed to this permanent position since January 2004 (initially at the Department of Electrical Engineering of TEI of Patras and then at the Department of Electrical Engineering TE of TEI of Western Greece), supporting the Electrical Machines and Automatic Control Systems laboratories. From November 1993 to January 2004 he worked continuously as an Electrical Engineer T.E. in Patras in the company TEHNOTRON with the study – design – supervision – construction of industrial automation, E/M installations, standard electronic constructions, as well as supply-installation of specialized scientific – laboratory, electrical and electronic equipment.

From the academic year 2001-2002 until the academic year 2012-2013 he worked as an Extraordinary Educational hourly staff (laboratory assistant) at the Department of Electrical Engineering of TEI of Patras in the laboratory courses: Electrical Measurements, Design and Analysis of E/M Studies with Computer (4M-FINE ADAPT) , Electrotechnics, Measurement Technology and Electrical Machines with about 3.000 hours of teaching. He is on the Registry of Certified Adult Educators and has completed 230 hours of instruction in adult education programs in his area of expertise.

His interests and professional experience focus on the following subjects: automation systems, electromobility systems, instrumentation systems, quality and safety control of electrical installations, data acquisition systems, PLC programmable control and industrial controllers, intelligent electrical installations, electrical installation studies and computer-based management of energy problems.
